A little May-July

Sunday afternoon. Just like his daddy, off with the tie!
Pre-Fourth of July hike up to Donut Falls.

First homemade ice cream of the year. These two ate more left over salty ice than ice cream.

Grandma Betty knit Ruby this sweet dress. We love it and you Betty!

Learning to swim with dad.

After our hike we stopped at Culvers for a burger,  fries and a chocolate milk. Samuel would only drink chocolate milk it I let him. He may take after his Gigi.

Savoring her chocolate-butterfinger shake.

We spent the morning of the 4th of July at the West Jordan Parade, followed by a trip to Culvers and home for naps. Samuel conked out watching a baseball game.
                                                                    Love you Rubes!!
Waiting for the fireworks with the Toblers.

Samuel has a great nursery teacher, Lisa. She brought her pony, 2 miles on a busy main road, over to our house to take him for a ride. Ruby and I went along for the 45 minute ride. Lisa is such a neat lady. When Samuel got back in the house he announced, "I'm a real cowboy!"

5 years!! We spent our anniversary eating dinner at the Brick Oven, taking a drive down memory lane topped off with country swing dancing. Definitely an evening to remember.
