The 1/2

I should have posted this picture from Jacob and Rachel visiting in my last blog. We had SO much fun with them. Rachel and I planned the 1st Annual Bower/Carlson 1/2 Marathon. Out of over 20 Bower/Carlsons 2 ran: Me and Rachel. Love you all still:)I meant to take lots of pictures of our race to show how much FUN running can be and motivate everyone to want to join next year, but this is all I have. We'll be anxious for the 2nd annual run. Sure love you guys!

The Melba Fourth of July Parade

Caroline and I took her cute girls and my little ones and then found a FABULOUS garage sale on the way home. Love a woman with a love for garage sales. I will post some of our good finds.

Rubes and I walking to our parade spot. She can hang out on my back for hours, totally content.

Ruby's Blessing

For Samuel and Ruby I've used the buttons off my wedding dress for their little blessing outfits.

I love how her little headband turned out. I was trying to create a bow but this is what happened instead. It ended up flowing great with the dress and had a bit of a 40's flair to it.
Ruby's dress was a lot of fun to design and make. I LOVED shopping for the delicate lace and silk. I wanted to create something that would have an heirloom feel to it, something she could pass on to her little girl someday.

She was happy most of the day. By the end of the day she was done.
Ricky gave Ruby a beautiful blessing. She's lucky to have him for her Daddy.
Kelli, my talented sister, made this adorable blanket for her. She loves it!

My Mamma (who thinks I live CLEAR out in the country) getting ready for a craft project for my little nieces and nephews. Always full of fun ideas!
Our new chicken coop!! Thanks Dad!

Sure love this little family of mine.
